Origins of Gorilla Glue
Like a lot of well-known cannabis crossbreeds, Original Gorilla Glue weed strain might have been an accident. It seems that in their personal gardens, a few cannabis breeders crossed the strains Chem Sis, Sour Dubb, and Chocolate Diesel by mistake.
Luckily, one farmer chose to plant some of these seeds after keeping others. The success of the fourth cup of these seeds led to the creation of “Original Gorilla Glue” in the end. You might see “Original Gorilla Glue” and “Gorilla Glue #4” used interchangeably in observance of this fourth batch.
This weed strain has a tendency for indica dominance and a mildly sedative quality. This is not a recommended option for inexperienced users due to its elevated THC contents. Even seasoned indica users could find GG#4’s couchlock qualities a little too strong. New smokers might want to try experimenting with a low-THC indica cultivar instead of opting for GG#4. For example, Bubba Kush from Cannaflower is just as calming as Original Gorilla Glue but without the strong effects.
The Growth Pattern and Appearance of Gorilla Glue
Massive trichomes should always be present in this weed strain flowers. It’s true that this strain’s “gluey” texture inspired part of its moniker. Often, the dark green flowers beneath these nugs are hard to see because of the abundance of white trichomes covering them.
Underneath all those white trichomes, this weed blossoms may have tones of dark blue or purple, but you probably won’t detect them. Although Gorilla Glue’s pistils don’t always command attention, this strain occasionally sports a lovely array of orange hairs.
What Are the Common Effects of GG?
Despite not being a 50/50 hybrid, this weed strain contains enough sativa to produce some quite intoxicating effects. The initial high experienced by users is a head rush that eventually turns into a full-body sensation. You will ultimately become “stoned” and mildly sedated as a result of these calming effects.
You’re more likely to desire to snuggle up and go to sleep the more this strain you ingest. Thus, to sum up, this strain isn’t the best for those looking to get productive. GG#4 is better left for later in the day when you don’t mind having a vague, drowsy sensation of contentment.
